Calculator Collection

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Calculator Collection (the “Site”) handles information when you visit. Calculator Collection is operated by Emil Björk, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Site is a free service: you do not need an account, and you are never asked to provide your name, email, or any other personal detail to use a calculator. We have written this page in plain language so you can understand exactly what happens to your information.

The calculators do not collect your data

This is the most important thing to know, so we want to state it clearly: every calculation on this Site runs entirely in your own web browser. The numbers and values you type into a calculator are processed on your device and are never transmitted to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone. When you close the tab, that input is gone. We do not log, save, or analyse the figures you enter — whether they relate to your salary, your health, your loans, or anything else.

The only information that leaves your browser comes from the standard third-party analytics and advertising tools described below, which are common to most free websites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which calculators people find useful, how visitors discover the Site, and where things can be improved. GA4 collects aggregated, statistical information such as the pages you visit, the approximate region you are visiting from (typically derived from a truncated, anonymised IP address), your device type and browser, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics 4 does not log full IP addresses, and we do not combine this data with anything that personally identifies you. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We display advertising through Google AdSense to keep the Site free for everyone. To serve ads, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies. In particular, Google uses an advertising cookie (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites across the internet. Third-party vendors and ad networks may likewise use cookies to measure and personalise the ads you see.

You can review and control personalised advertising at any time:

Cookies and consent

The cookies set when you visit this Site come from the Google Analytics and Google AdSense services described above; we do not set first-party cookies of our own. Where required, we use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to ask for your permission before non-essential cookies — including advertising and analytics cookies — are placed. If you are in a region that requires consent, you can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the consent banner or the privacy/consent control it provides. Declining consent does not stop you from using any calculator on the Site.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how some third-party features behave.

Your rights under the GDPR (EU/EEA visitors)

If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data. For the limited analytics and advertising data processed via the services above, our legal basis is your consent (where collected through the CMP) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving a free Site. You have the right to:

  • access the personal data held about you;
  • request correction or erasure of that data;
  • object to or restrict its processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because we hold no account or contact information about you, most data is held directly by Google as a processor; you can also exercise many of these rights through the Google links above. To make a request to us, use the contact details at the end of this page.

Your rights under the CCPA (California residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its “sale.” We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of the word. However, because advertising cookies can constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA's broad definitions, you may exercise your right to opt out of personalised advertising using the Google and industry opt-out tools linked above, and through the consent controls provided on the Site. You may also contact us to make a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information request.

Affiliate links

Some pages on this Site contain affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This helps support the running of the Site. Affiliate links do not change the price you pay, and they do not influence the results any calculator produces.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
