About this calculator
An auction plan works when its position percentages add up to 100% of the budget: with the usual $200 cap, 15% QB, 35% RB, 35% WR, 10% TE and 5% bench allocates exactly $200, or $30, $70, $70, $20 and $10. This calculator adds up your percentages and shows how many dollars they commit, so you can see at a glance whether a plan overspends or leaves money unused.
The formula
Allocated budget = total budget × (QB% + RB% + WR% + TE% + bench%) ÷ 100. Multiply the total budget by any one percentage to get that position's dollars. If the result is below your budget you have unplanned money; above it, the plan cannot be completed.
Building a plan
Most fantasy football auctions give every team the same cap, commonly $200. Running backs and wide receivers usually take the largest share because the top players at those positions score the most points over replacement. Leagues that start only one quarterback and one tight end tend to offer value at those positions later in the auction. Adjust for your scoring: PPR leagues push more money toward receivers, and superflex or two-QB leagues push it toward quarterbacks.
Keep $1 per open roster spot
Bench players often go for $1 late in the auction, but you need enough money left to fill every remaining roster spot. Check your platform's draft rules for minimum bids and how many roster spots you must fill, and keep that reserve in mind as the auction goes on.

| QB | 15% | $30 | 10% | $20 |
| RB | 35% | $70 | 30% | $60 |
| WR | 35% | $70 | 45% | $90 |
| TE | 10% | $20 | 10% | $20 |
| Bench | 5% | $10 | 5% | $10 |
| Total | 100% | $200 | 100% | $200 |
How to use
Enter your league's auction budget and the percentage you plan to spend on each position group. The default, $200 split 15/35/35/10/5, allocates exactly $200. If you shift RB to 50% and bench to 0% without changing anything else, the total becomes 110% and the plan needs $220, so lower another position. Multiply the budget by each percentage for the dollar targets (see the table below).
Frequently asked questions
How should I split a $200 auction budget?
A balanced starting point is about 15% QB, 35% RB, 35% WR, 10% TE and 5% bench, or $30, $70, $70, $20 and $10. Shift money toward receivers in PPR leagues and toward quarterbacks in superflex leagues, and keep the total at 100%.
What happens if my percentages do not add up to 100%?
Below 100% you will finish with unspent money that could have bought better players. Above 100% the plan needs more than your budget, so you will be priced out of later targets. The calculator shows the dollars committed so you can rebalance before the draft.
How much should I keep for the bench?
Enough to fill every remaining roster spot at the minimum bid, plus a little for one or two handcuffs or sleepers you care about. Many managers fill most bench spots at $1 late in the auction.
