Say you practice 5 times per week, sessions average 60 minutes, mat quality score is 80, and intensity is rated 1.2 (moderately vigorous). Step 1 – Numerator: 80 × 365 = 29,200. Step 2 – Denominator: 5 × 60 × 1.2 = 360. Step 3 – Divide: 29,200 ÷ 360 ≈ 81.11. Step 4 – Apply rounding: round(81.11) / 100 = 81 / 100 = 0.81 years. This suggests the mat needs replacing in under a year given that intensive, high-frequency use. Switching to a higher quality mat (score 150) would extend the estimate to about 1.5 years.
